Chestnut Ridge Antiques is now open for retail sales to the public. Shop where the dealers shop and save on a huge selection of art and antiques in our 200 year old barn. We have thousands of items from the 18th to the 20th centuries.
Browse among our very large selection of art work. Take it home, hang it and if you don't like it in your home, return it for a full refund. We will work with you.
Special Programs:
- We represent people who would like to sell their antiques and collectables and do not know where to go or what to do. We will secure the highest possible prices at the time of sale. We charge a commission on the final sale price; therefore, it is in our best interest to secure the highest price possible for you. We will visit your location at no cost in order to give you a sense of value and possible sale. We can do it all — pick up, clean up and fix up. When we act as your agent we do not buy your items - that is unethical.
- Appraisal and evaluation services:
- We do formal appraisals that comply with insurance requirements as well as IRS estate requirements. These are written with photos where appropriate.
- We do informal evaluations where we give the client values of antiques and collectables. This is verbal and a lot less expensive.
- We travel.
- The Art Program With Dealers in Mind
We will help you choose a selection of framed art.
This can include oils, watercolors, lithographs, etchings and engravings.
The art work will represent all price ranges as well as time periods. We have works in stock from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Most art work is in period frames. We can change frames or just sell the frame.
The dealer pays for the selection and then has the perpetual right to return any work of art for credit at any time. The dealer will never be stuck with hard to sell merchandise. There is no time limit and dealer stock can be rotated as the dealer chooses.
